Take some time and visit the longest dam of Europe
The Lake of Serre-Ponçon (2800 hectares) gives a special character to our Southern Alps region and allows the tourists to exercise diverse water sports : Sailing, water skiing, kite-surfing and boat rides as well as farniente at the beach...
The lake of Serre-Ponçon is fed by the rivers Ubaye and Durance, down stream from the Alpes de Haute Provence and the Hautes Alpes. A wonderful scenic drive takes you along the sides of the lake; then you arrive at Port Saint-Pierre, water-based leisure activities harbour... Cameras are of course mandatory. On your way to the Ubaye valley you’ll find an interesting wildlife park.
