If you enjoy camping in the middle of nature, surrounded by high mountains you are at the right place! At the heart of the Alpes de Haute Provence, Rioclar welcomes you in mobile homes, chalet, caravans and campsites. Back from your hiking or biking tour you will enjoy the large heated pool and spend the rest of your evening at the restaurant with a breathtaking view of the Séolanes mountains and its forests.
Bordered by the Ubaye river, just a few steps away from Barcelonnette, 20 minutes from the lake of Serre Ponçon, Rioclar is a campsite entirely dedicated to your vacation. Our team will welcome you and guarantee you holidays as you expect them. Entertainment, meals, rafting club, grocery store, you are the one that we miss to complete our team.
You will settle here at 1100 meters altitude, in a forest of 8 hectares where we implement every year the maximum to offer you a little piece of heaven.
A whole bunch of activities around
You can practice every sport in unspoiled nature: Hiking, white water sports, mountain biking, rafting, paragliding, climbing, canopy tours, canyoning, cycling ... not to forget: sweet naps in the dip of a hammock!
The Ubaye valley is also rich in history. Barcelonnette is a land of travelers. The elders once left for discovering the world, sailing across oceans. The "Barcelonnettes” first settled in Mexico. This part of history is enshrined in the Ubaye : The Mexican villas of Barcelonnette and Jausiers form a rich built heritage.
Méolans Revel (8 km) preserved its charm and its mountain activities, craft and tourism mingle harmoniously. Charming little mountain village built along the bed of the Ubaye river, rich forests and pastures ... Go and discover the treasures of our nature and culture.
Le Rioclar, a campsite close to
the Mercantour Nature Park.
Mountain Campsite Rioclar at the edge of Mercantour park is the priviledged shelter for marmots, ibexes, chamois and mountains sheep and you will go and observe. It retains the most beautiful varieties of fauna and flora in Europe.
The Lake of Serre-Ponçon, a giant aquatic playground !
The lake Serre Ponçon offers water activities that complement the mountain activities. An artificial lake, it collects water from the rivers Durance and Ubaye. 15 minutes from the campsite you’ll dive and practice sailing, rowing, water skiing, kite surfing, jet skiing or you can simple enjoy a boat ride.
Other lakes, of minor importance, natural or artificial will brighten up your walks: The Lake of Jausiers, of Lauzet, of the Neuf Coleurs (9 colors) and Lauzanier ... we let you leave and discover.
